Description

A Fanart of a Graveyard Serpenth!

Now, what I had in mind was for the hood to be made of the bones that make up part of its body under the head..the neck bones? ..That kind of overgrew and tore out of the sides and split it apart, like pictured. Thus making a cobra hood similiar to the original graveyard serpenth.

Overall, looks okay. Colouring is ..okay. Anatomy doesnt make sense, though.

I had wanted one of these for one of my pets on Subeta. But he got turned into an awesome experiment so ...didnt go through with it. Second fave pet, only to the Escalade.

I should draw my pets next.

I've noticed that you like to show the inside of the mouth, and thats awesome. Not many people seem to be able to tackle that... however, you are making one of the most common mistakes anatomically-- The thing that the tongue is coming out of in two of your pieces appears to be the glottis, which is a breathing apparatus for snakes. The tongue actually comes out of a slit a bit further down (towards the snout) in the mouth. Furthermore, I would say that the teeth in this are great, but the bottom "fangs" shouldn't be so much larger than the rest of the snake's teeth, and the teeth at the front of the mouth should not be present (between the fangs).

I do like the way you've taken this animal and used its state of decomposition to turn it into a cobra, showing the tearing of the skin and showing muscle underneath, going so far as to make the skin look baggy. I think by adding in some "scales" to the top of the body, you can further this effect.
