Angialdreams are often kept over the bed of a newborn. They are place to 'eat' the bad dreams of the child, while letting the good dreams sift through its body.

Its body is composed of what appears to be thin lines of string, which is the case actually. This is where dreams pass through, bad dreams get instantly sucked into its always open mouth. This pokemon lives with the child as long as the child remembers it is there. If the child were to forget, it's mouth would close, allowing for bad dreams to go through, as well as the good, but, at the same time, Angialdrem would die of starvation.

It is unknown what happens to one if the child always keeps it in mind, even well through adulthood.
