You say in your artsist comment that his design is not original. But then, what does mean originality for you ? Detail ? I don't think something needs detail to be original. I think your little poké here is really original. Even if the colours remind a bit of Charmander, which is normal, they're both fire typed pokémon, the rest is different of anything we've seen until now. He has a nice head shape, he looks cute and kind, not too detailed, all these things are what a starter pokémon needs. :3 talking about the picture, you did a good job on the pokémon ( normal, it's your invention) and you coloured it really well, you have a lovely colouring. °w° The background is simple but it's enough to show that we focus on the poké. ^_^ *me makes too long comments and is too random*
Yea, it mostly has to do with detail. I suppose..@_@ Alot of other people have like..awesome animals for their starters. Though, it seems I went the opposite way and settled for the more normal animals than super complex ones. Back to the basics of the first 151.
That's what we need, back to the first 151 *me doesn't like the ruby/saph and diam/pearl ones* I think pokémon should keep some animal style and not too many details. In the first two gens, tere was no much detail ( apart of ho-oh and some other) and there was so bloc of ice/stone/steel looking pokemon, that's what i like about pokémon when i started playing. ^_^
Awr X3 YESOFCOURSE! You should definitely make more fakemon I think the simpler designs like this look far more pokemon-esque than alot of the more over the top designs Keep going!
